Sharky's Pub & Grub
About This Spot
Sharky's Pub & Grub feels like a familiar anchor in Fort Scott—a spot where the rhythm slows just enough for you to settle in and enjoy genuine local flavor. As you step inside, the warm hum of conversation mingles with the clink of glasses and the occasional laughter, painting a picture of a place that blends easygoing comfort with a touch of spirited energy. It’s the kind of neighborhood joint where people pause mid-journey to reconnect, catch the game, or share a meal that feels thoughtfully crafted rather than rushed.
The pace here is unhurried and welcoming. Whether you’re sliding into a booth for lunch or unwinding after work with a cold draft beer in hand, there’s a shared sense of community. The décor hints at rustic charm, inviting you to linger a little longer as familiar faces drop by and servers move with friendly efficiency.
Food at Sharky’s carries that same inviting tone. The menu offers a range of flavors that feel both adventurous and grounded—smoky BBQ mac and cheese with pulled pork, crispy sweet potato fries with just the right seasoning, or a perfectly blackened salmon that shows care in every bite. Desserts like a warm chocolate caramel brownie served a la mode make for a comforting finish, rounding out the experience with a touch of indulgence. Drinks flow easily, whether it’s a classic root beer float or one of their thoughtfully mixed cocktails, giving you a chance to savor the moment alongside good company.
What really defines Sharky's, though, is the feeling that you’ve found a spot stitched into the fabric of the town—a place where the staff remember your name, the food carries stories, and every visit feels like sitting down at a friend’s table. There’s a casual authenticity here that speaks louder than any menu or marketing could, drawing you back time and again.

Great bar food! Cool ambiance. Tori was our server and she was awesome. I had chicken tenders, hand breaded as well as the onion rings and then homemade slaw. Fast, courteous, and ice cold beer. Highly recommend

First time visiting this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. We were there for lunch on a Wednesday and parking was not a problem. There were several people in there but we got a table right away. The staff was friendly, the history of the restaurant is interesting, the menu selections were vast, and the food was delicious. I had the reuben and sweet potato fries and the wife had the salmon. We also shared sides of fried pickles and jalapenos, and cheese curds. We definitely couldn't eat it all so we took some home.

We smelled the food cooking as we drove by and had to stop in. You have to try the Smoked French Dip, its amazing! The hand cut sharkey's fries were nice and crispy (definitely not out of a bag). We also got the BBQ Mac & Cheese with pulled pork. It came out looking delicious but the pork was cold. I mentioned it to the server and they didn't hesitate to make it right. Just a few minutes later she brought out a hot fresh order and tasted just as good as it looked. We were so hungry and the food was so good, we didn't even think to get any pics until it was almost all gone.

My usual stop between kc and Oklahoma for lunch. Usually do the soup of the day. But everything I’ve ever tried from there is good. Seems like the town hang out. Everyone knows everyone and it’s always good.
